Accessibility

Nature is for everyone.

Access Information

Newman Wetlands Center strives to make our site as accessible as possible. We are continually working to improve our understanding of accessibility and to enhance our physical site and programming. We welcome feedback from guests, especially regarding ways we could make everyone’s experiences here better. You may complete this survey or email us directly at NewmanWetlandsCenter@ccwa.us.

Our staff conservationists are learning ASL. Please ask for Danielle if you have questions and use ASL to communicate.

Action Trackchair Reservations

Newman Wetlands Center’s All Terrain Chair (ATC) is available for use to visitors with mobility issues who otherwise might not be able to enjoy our trails. The ATC can easily maneuver on Boardwalk Loop Trail & Scout Loop Trail.

Reservations are required. Reservations must be made through All Terrain Georgia at least 48 hours in advance. To reserve an ATC, users must complete ATG’s certification along with their hiking buddy. The certification process includes watching several online videos, passing a short exam, and providing a copy of your license and handicap tag.

If you have questions, please contact us at newmanwetlandscenter@ccwa.us or 770-603-5606.
